Privacy Policy
Updated 27 October 2026. This policy explains what {{brand}} (the Windows app, the phone app and {{brand}} Keyboard) collects, why, who it is shared with, how long it is kept, and what you can do about it.
Who we are
{{brand}} is run by PT Janji Daya Anugerah, Indonesia. Questions about privacy: [email protected].
What {{brand}} does with your data, in short
- When you dictate, your voice is turned into text by a speech service, and the text can be tidied by an AI model. That needs the internet.
- What you type on the keyboard is not sent to us. Autocorrect and word suggestions run on your device.
- Words {{brand}} learns about your writing stay on your device, unless you turn on “Sync my dictionary”.
- We never sell your data and never use it for advertising.
What we collect
Your account
Your email address and, if you sign up with a password, a salted hash of it (we cannot read your password). If you choose “Continue with Google”, we receive your Google email address. We also keep the name of each device you sign in on and when it was last used.
Dictation
- Audio. Your voice is sent to speech-recognition providers to be turned into text. We do not store your audio.
- Text. The transcript can be sent to an AI provider to fix punctuation and stray words and, if you ask for it, to change the style or translate it.
- Dictation log. To check quality and fix errors, our server keeps a log of each dictation: the date, the length, the language and settings, timings, the text as transcribed and the text as inserted, any error, and the name of the app you were typing in. The log is linked to your account. It is kept for 30 days and then deleted.
- Credits. We record how many credits each dictation used (based on its length), so we can bill you correctly.
Ask {{brand}}
Ask {{brand}} sends your request to our server only when you use it. On the keyboard it never runs from password, email, web address, number or phone fields, and it stays off when an app asks the keyboard not to learn from what you type (for example private tabs). On Windows, if you ask about the web page you are viewing, its address and text are sent with your question.
Sync my dictionary
If you sign in and turn on “Sync my dictionary”, your personal dictionary is kept on our server, encrypted, so your signed-in devices share the same words. You can turn it off on any device, or delete the server copy from your account page, at any time. Deleting your account deletes it.
Purchases
Plans and credits are sold through Google Play (and the App Store on iPhone) and, on our website, through our payment partner. They handle your payment, and we never see your card. We receive the plan, the purchase and renewal dates and a purchase reference, so we can give you your credits.
Stays on your device
- “Teach {{brand}} your writing” and “Your words” (words and phrases from contacts, WhatsApp exports or text you paste) are processed on your device and never logged or included in crash reports. You can delete them at any time.
- The Windows app’s dictation history is kept only on your PC, for as long as you choose in its settings.
Permissions {{brand}} asks for
- Microphone – to record when you dictate.
- Internet – to reach the speech and AI services.
- {{brand}} Keyboard works as a keyboard, so it can see what you type in the field you are using, which is how any keyboard works. It does not need the Accessibility permission.
- The phone app’s floating button uses the Accessibility service and “display over other apps” to insert dictated text into other apps. It uses them only for that.
Who we share data with
Only the services needed to run {{brand}}, under their own terms and privacy policies:
- Speech-recognition and AI providers – to turn speech into text and to fix the text.
- Payment providers – Google Play, the App Store and our web payment partner.
- Google – if you choose Google sign-in.
- Our hosting provider – our server runs in Finland.
You can ask us which companies these are by emailing [email protected]. We may also disclose data if the law requires it. We do not sell or rent personal data.
Where your data goes
Your data is processed outside Indonesia, including in Finland, Singapore and the United States. By using {{brand}} you agree to this transfer. We choose providers that protect data under their published terms.
How long we keep it
- Audio: not stored by us.
- Dictation log: 30 days.
- Synced dictionary: until you delete it or delete your account.
- Account, credits and purchase records: while your account exists, and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting law require.
Your rights and choices
You can ask us to see, correct or delete the data we hold about you, and to delete your account, by emailing [email protected] from the address on your account. We reply within 30 days. These rights follow Indonesian Law No. 27 of 2022 on Personal Data Protection and, where it applies to you, similar laws elsewhere. You can also turn off the microphone permission at any time; dictation will then stop working.
Security
Connections to our server are encrypted. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes, sign-in tokens are stored only as hashes, a synced dictionary is encrypted, and our provider keys never leave our server. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit who can reach the data.
Children
{{brand}} is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and, for big changes, tell you in the app or by email.
